Spring. I see it emerging everywhere. Six deer grazed along our back lawn this morning. A slew of songbirds are singing their little hearts out from every tree and bush: blackbirds, robins, doves and others I need a book to identify. A pair of hawks are nesting close by and a pair of bald eagles performed an aerial courtship dance within view of our front window. Warm rains have encouraged buds on all the trees. Several are close to blooming.
Come, spend a little time in prayer and contemplation. Lift your eyes from the mundane and the ordinary and gaze upon the divine wonders surrounding us, evidence of God's direct involvement in our lives. He may whisper to us in the quiet of a hospital room or shout at us through a storm. Wherever we are, He's there, comforting, encouraging, and strengthening. "For all things have their season." Ecclesiastes. 3:3

Spring encourages me, too. I hope others are taking time to look and listen to nature.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It would be a shame to be blind to God's blessings.
